Kitchen Garden

The tricky topography of this sloping site was overcome by tiering and levelling to create a practical yet characterful productive area. The arches, referencing a tunnel through the centre of the house, act as a portal. Symmetry and structure provide handsome order in the winter, softened by billowing cottage garden planting and wildflowers in summer.
